Fashionista Spotlight

Let’s be honest. We’re all college students and half the time we roll out of bed fifteen minutes before our first class starts, we just throw on a pair of sweatpants and an oversized sweatshirt. Our only criterion for the morning’s attire is comfort; it’s easy to completely ignore our appearance. This Fashionista, however, proves that we don’t have to look like total slobs to achieve comfort and still arrive to class on time.

Name: Julia Saran

Major: Communication Studies

Year: Junior

CollegeFashionista: What are you wearing today?

Julia Saran: Literally everything is lululemon. Except for my shoes, they are Saucony.

CF: How has being at an all-girls school impacted your style?

JS: Being at an all-girls school, I have learned pajamas are an acceptable and common occurrence. However, lululemon has won its way to my heart by giving me comfort and style all rolled into one.

CF: How does your “daytime” style differ from your “going out” style?

JS: During the day I like to be casual and comfy, but at night I like to get more dressed up and wear dresses and heels opposed to gym shoes.

CF: What is your favorite item in your closet?

JS: Definitely my Lilly Pulitzer Elsa top.

CF: If you could have any celebrity or character’s wardrobe whose would it be?

JS: I would have to say Olivia Pope’s from Scandal.

How To: Luckily, countless brands have joined efforts to revamp their activewear, which ultimately assists our collegiate lifestyles. For some stylish options, try out this popular cinch-tie hoodie from Old Navy or this jacket with an asymmetrical zipper. Take inspiration from today’s Fashionista and grab this lululemon bag to fit all of your daytime essentials.
