Welcome back everyone! Here at Misericordia University it is already the second week of school and all the Fashionistas are still showing off their new clothing pieces. During the end of August and beginning of September we are all transitioning from our summer wear to our fall wardrobe. The biggest transition trend is a jacket with a summer dress. I love seeing how many different ways I can wear a summer dress in fall or even winter weather. It is definitely an outfit choice you need to master in college because you save closet space and money when reusing clothes for multiple seasons. This Fashionista perfectly showcases how to wear a summer dress in warm fall weather.
Name: Jackie Pearson
Major: Physical Therapy
CollegeFashionista: Tell me where you got each piece of your outfit.
Jackie Pearson: My striped dress is from Old Navy and my jean jacket is from American Eagle. These sneakers are from Forever 21. They’re super chic and super inexpensive!
CF: What are some fashion pieces you must have in your fall wardrobe?
JP: There are definitely a couple of clothing items that I am excited for. I cannot wait to whip out my boots, scarves and warm sweater!
CF: Where do you look for fashion inspiration?
JP: Usually I look at lifestyle and fashion magazines for fashion inspiration. But I also love emulating celebrity style. One of my favorite celebrities is Lauren Conrad because she’s so classy.
CF: If you could go on a shopping spree at one store, which one would it be and why?
CF: If I could shop at one store, it would definitely be Anthropologie! I love everything in the store. But when I go into Anthropologie, I have to go straight to the sale racks because it can be a bit pricey there. The clothes are beautiful!
How To: For this chic look, start off with a gray striped dress. Wrap around a nude belt to show off your waist and add a bright tank top underneath for a pop of color. Combine it with a jean jacket and gray Keds and you are ready for class.
