One of my favorite trends from the spring 2014 runway season was the crop top. However, it is also one of the hardest trends to pull off, and it takes someone who is really confident in their style to do so. This is precisely why I decided to feature this next Fashionista when I saw her walking through campus in a romantic lace crop top. She cleverly paired this trend with a maxi skirt, creating a pseudo crop top look that is still fashion forward yet sophisticated.

How To: If you’re up to the challenge of incorporating the crop top into your wardrobe this spring, try a lace crop top or a floral crop top. You can recreate this Fashionista’s pseudo crop top look by pairing the crop top with a maxi skirt or a pair of high-waisted pants. However, if you’re looking to show a little more skin you can pair it with a skater skirt.
