As fall begins to slowly but surely sneak up on us it also means that new fashion trends and outfits will surely start to be seen around campus. Fall is the perfect weather to combine different items from your closet to match the weather outside. If it’s warm with a chilly breeze, or cloudy with no wind and just warmth you can mix and match items to cover up your legs or arms while not completely bundling up to be too hot. It’s time to bring out those maxi skirts, quarter-length sleeve shirts, cardigans and leggings. Not to mention adding in some fall colors to give a little oomph in your outfit. I spotted this Fashionista on her way to the book store and her bright colored top and tribal print skirt could be seen from the other end of the road. I adored it! Read on to find out more about her outfit.
Name: Hetal Patel
College Fashionista: Describe your style in three words.
Hetal Patel: Different, colorful, boho-chic.
CF: If you had $300 to spend at any store which store would it be and why?
HP: Definitely Charlotte Russe because I love their clothes, the colors, all the styles they carry and basically everything about them.
CF: What’s your favorite season for fashion and why?
HP: I’d say fall because I can wear shorts and stuff but at the same time I can also wear leggings with big shirts.
CF: What’s one fashion trend you’ve seen but would never wear yourself?
HP: Oh, Jack Rodgers. I hate those but mostly because everyone here owns a pair.
How To: To get a look like this Fashionista you need to revolve your outfit around a perfect colorful, printed maxi skirt. Don’t be afraid to be bold with the pattern and colors either. Then grab a solid color camisole or tank top to use as an undershirt you can tuck into your skirt. Pick another color from your skirt and add a cardigan or button-down which you could leave open or tie in the front like Hetal. Play it simple with the jewelry and make sure you’re comfortable walking with some cute sandals or flats. Finish off the outfit with a solid tote or oversized bag and you’re ready to go!
