Summer is officially over, unless you go to SCAD. We are fortunate enough to start our school year mid-September. While enjoying one of my last weeks of summer, I spotted a very casual getup. This Fashionista proves that you do not need to wear a ball gown to look fabulous. She is dressed in a lace top. Although this is a very casual outfit, the lace gives it a sophisticated pop, making it seem chic. To make the clothing stand out even more, she adds a simple pair of sneakers. This ensemble is the ultimate example for Fashionistas on the go.

CollegeFashionista: How would you describe your personal style?
Grace Ritter: I would describe my personal style as comfortable yet trendy. Unless I’m going out, I honestly try to dress as casual as possible while still looking chic!
CF: What is your favorite store and why?
GR: I really love Kohl’s! They have tons of nice clothes ranging in style for reasonable prices. They also have collection with higher-end designers which I love.
CF: How would you describe your perfect fall outfit?
GR: My perfect fall outfit would have to be jeans, a lace top and boots. I can dress it up or down with my jewelry.
CF: Do you have any advice for Fashionistas on a budget?
GR: My advice to Fashionistas on a budget is to frequently shop the clearance rack. The clearance racks usually have nice stuff for half the original price. I would also suggest getting different tops. You can wear the same bottoms, but changing the top can revamp the entire look.
How To: This Fashionista’s ensemble is perfect for girls on the go. If you are looking for a way to appear stylish in the hectic morning, try a pair of high-waisted denim cut-offs with a simple top. Accessorize the look with cute sneakers, matching earrings and simple necklace.
