This double-take worthy Fashionista exemplifies the timeless phrase “bold is beautiful.” I spotted this chic Fashionista strutting through campus on a sunny, carefree afternoon. Not only is she of glamazon height, but her ensemble had to be one of the most stylish statements to ever grace the classrooms of Temple University (which is a BIG deal). From her wide-brimmed hat down to her fierce, wooden cut-out sandals, I knew I had to get the scoop on this Fashionista’s glamorous style.
Name: Emily Repshas
CollegeFashionista: What are you wearing today?
Emily Repshas: I’m wearing a shirt and hat from Forever 21, shorts from Macy’s, shoes from Dolce Vita, a stretchy bracelet from Urban Outfitters, a ring from a little boutique, a necklace I found at T.J.Maxx and bracelets that I’m currently obsessed with from Alex and Ani.
CF: How would you describe your style?
ER: Trendy and bright. I’ll wear anything and I believe that anyone can wear anything as long as they own it. In my opinion, even goth people have style because they completely own it and work it. Confidence is key.
CF: Are there any celebrities you draw style inspiration from?
ER: Blake Lively and Sarah Jessica Parker—I love that they don’t have a signature style. I also love Olivia Palermo because her style can go from super girly to punk rock, and I think Sienna Miller is just a little rock star.
CF: What is your favorite thing about fall fashion?
ER: I love patterned pants and bright scarves because they make anyone look trendy and fashionable. I also love thigh-high boots because they’re flattering and can pull any look together.
CF: Any items on your shopping list for the upcoming season?
ER: Definitely. I’m currently on the hunt for leather leggings, a letterman bomber jacket and a really great pair of studded boots.
How to: To effortlessly rock a wide-brimmed hat like this Fashionista does, try this fabulous floppy fedora from Forever 21 coupled with some wild sandals like this beautiful pair from Michael Kors. Keep the high-waisted shorts and sheer blouse in a simple color scheme, and don’t forget the classic red nails! To transition this look into fall, throw on some black (even textured, if you’re feeling daring) tights, a gorgeous leather jacket and some leopard booties.
