It starts to become a struggle for Fashionista’s everywhere when the weather begins to drop and we feel that our wardrobes are suddenly limited. Instead, take winter as an opportunity to express some of your best fashion ideas. Eye-catching winter fashion will not go unnoticed and it is easier to piece together than you think! This Fashionista is in one of my classes and is always dressed to impress. With this outfit, she pieced together basic yet stylish items from her closet to create a bold and noteworthy look. What completes this look is her scarf. It adds just the right amount of color and pizazz on top of the solid black.

CollegeFashionista: What are you wearing today?
CF: Do you feel like your style has changed since you have been in college?
EB: Absolutely! Being on a college campus full of fashionable students has definitely inspired me to put more time and effort into my everyday look. Also, being around such a diverse group of people has allowed me to get a feel for so many different style choices. I love it.
CF: What is your favorite part about winter fashion?
EB: I love being able to wear cute coats all the time! Peacoats and utility jackets are my favorite.
CF: What are your favorite and least favorite colors to wear?
EB: I love neutral colors but I also am obsessed with mint! My least favorite color is definitely pink. I will wear a subtle pink every now and then, but I try and stay away from it.
How To: First, throw on a pair of black leggings and combat boots. Then take it one step further by adding a basic black long sleeve V-neck to rock the all black look underneath. Layer that with a trendy utility jacket from Forever 21. Carry your books around in style with an oversized cross-body black bag.
