The air is getting crisp and Fairfield Fashionistas know it’s time to break out the fall sweaters. This Fashionista, just exiting her townhouse, knows that it’s important to look stylish even with the colder weather approaching. Since we’re still transitioning from summer to fall it’s important to not be too bundled up like this week’s Fashionista.
Name: Danielle Tullo
CollegeFashionista: How would you describe your style?
Danielle Tullo: I would describe my style as fairly simple, yet not unnoticeable.
CF: Who or what influences your style?
DT: My mood is the most influential of my style. Depending on how I wake up feeling that day, I dress the part!
CF: Where do you like to shop while you’re at school?
DT: When I need a good retail therapy session at school I usually head to Apricot Lane right in town, or J.Crew in Westport. However, I will admit to my online shopping and Tobi addiction.
CF: What is your back to school clothing essential?
DT: Sweaters, sweaters and more sweaters! Once the summer weather is gone a long winter lies ahead, and there is nothing better then a sweater to make me look cute but feel cozy.
CF: What is your favorite season to dress for and why?
DT: Fall! I love dressing for fall, essentially because I get to wear a bunch of beautiful collections all at once. A great pair of jeans matched with a cute sweater, a pair of boots, topped off with a vest is such a great opportunity to flaunt your style. Not to mention the beautiful fall scenery makes everything look even better.
CF: What item do you hope to add to your wardrobe next?
DT: I’m on the hunt for a new favorite pair of jeans. I want to find the perfect denim shade that gives off a warm fall and winter vibe!
How To: As I mentioned before the weather is still transitioning so it’s important to be comfortable. This week’s Fashionista is a perfect example of casual style. She paired a light sweater with laid-back jeans and Jack Rogers sandals. Since it’s still pretty bright out on campus it’s safe to say that Ray Bans, or any type of sunnies, are a must have. She also added silver accessories, a bracelet, watch and a necklace to add a personal touch and balance out the outfit. This Fashionista shows us exactly how to dress in simple transition from summer to fall.
