Fashionista Spotlight

Marilyn Monroe once said, “Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.” In my opinion, today’s Fashionista would be able to do just that while wearing her attention-grabbing booties. I loved the contrast and color scheme that was formed between her oxblood tights and shoes; a perfect fall combination. Her choice of mixed textures also grabbed my attention and looked amazing!

CollegeFashionista: Where did you get your shoes?

Dali Jung: Urban Outfitters!

CF: What else are you wearing today?

DJ: I’m wearing tights and a skirt both from Urban Outfitters, a shirt from Wildfox Couture and a jacket from Abercrombie & Fitch. My bag is MCM and my infinity necklace is Tiffany & Co.

CF: How would you describe your style in 3 words?

DJ: Modern, urban and pop.

CF: Where do you get your inspiration?

DJ: Mostly magazines. I would have to say Alexa Chung, Cara Delevingne and Lana Del Ray are a few of my style icons.

CF: What trends are you excited about for the winter?

DJ: Definitely booties!! Also crop top sweaters and circle skirts.

How To: Trying to mimic this Fashionista’s look? Start by pairing a graphic shirt with a textured skirt. Try a velvet skater skirt, like today’s Fashionista’s, or a leather skirt to give a more edgy look. Then, add fall-colored tights and a military jacket. Finish this look with your best accessories, especially your booties! Try these from Nordstrom, inspired by this Fashionista’s outfit. A killer tote and jewelry finish this urban styled outfit.
