It may officially be spring, but here in Lawrence, there’s still snow on the ground. I find that transitioning into new seasons can be the hardest times of the year to dress. Choosing outfits become a daily debate on which side to take, the weather or the month. This Fashionisto didn’t seem to be struggling one bit. Instead, he kept warm with spring fashion still in mind. Needless to say, he wasn’t exactly underdressed, either.
Name: Clinton Webb
Major: Political Science
CollegeFashionista: Describe your personal style.
Clinton Webb: I’d just say very classy. Sometimes I try to take risks. In the summer I’m very nautical.
CF: How do you take fashion risks?
CW: Usually by wearing different patterns and mixing and matching them.
CF: Is there a celebrity whose style you are inspired by?
CW: Not really, I usually just look at the J.Crew style guide. That’s where I go to for fashion inspiration.
CF: What’s your favorite thing to wear for spring?
CW: My favorite thing to wear for spring is probably shorts and a light sweater. I like the shorts to be above the knee and in lighter, pastel colors. No cargo shorts!
How to: To get a similar version of Clinton’s dashing look, try pairing J.Crew blue chinos with bright shoes. A J.Crew short sleeved button-up shirt underneath a patterned Topman jacket look dapper with a tie from The Rail.
