FASHIONISTA SPOTLIGHT: Cayleigh Immelman

Fashionista Spotlight

This Fashionista may not be so fashionable when she’s playing field hockey for CMU, but when it comes to going to class she knows how to dress comfortable and cute! The big bold glasses are a hit this season, especially with a cute stylish beanie to tie in the boho look. To stay comfortable in class, this Fashionista styles a big oversized crewneck sweater and of course, the one thing that a girl can not live without, leggings. One quick change to make this outfit go from in class to a night out would be to change the oversized sweater for a loose gray cotton long sleeve shirt.

Name: Cayleigh Immelman

Year: Junior

Major: Integrative Public Relations with a minor in Psychology

CollegeFashionista: What are you wearing?

Cayleigh Immelman: I’m wearing combat boots with leg warmers, tights, a plain baggy sweater with an imprint scarf and a beanie. I am not a big brand name person. I love vintage clothing, or the “baggy top and tights.”

CF: What item in your closet is your go-to when picking an outfit?

CI: My go-to outfit would be black stockings; I can literally wear them with anything.

CF: What would you never be caught wearing?

CI: I would never be caught wearing anything metallic or corduroy; I don’t think anyone should wear either of these two materials.

CF: What city would you love to shop in?

CI: I would love to shop in Madrid.

CF: What celebrity closet would you love to raid and why?

CI: I would love to raid Olivia Palermo because I am in love with her style!

How To: To get a look similar to this Fashionista’s, first start off with a big oversized crewneck, you can go for a plain look or find one with cute designs and patterns. Big bold glasses are a statement this season, which tie this look together. Beanies are always a great winter accessory to bring an outfit together. Long stockings under combat boots keep this look casual and comfy. Don’t forget to add a pair of plain or printed leggings!
