The summer months are great for colorful shirts, flowy skirts, jean shorts and all of the strappy sandals that you can fit in your closet. Unfortunately, this year, Montreal weather has not made this possible. With an obscene amount of cold and rainy days, Montrealers have had to resort to wearing warmer clothes in July. This has left many Fashionistas scrambling to find ways to look fabulous while still keeping snug. One way to do this is by throwing on a leather jacket. This Fashionista adds a little edge to her outfit by pairing her leather jacket with shiny black tights.
Name: Caroline Crawford
CollegeFashionista: How would you describe your personal style?
Caroline Crawford: I would say that my style varies depending on my mood and where I’m going. I really like chic, girly things, but I appreciate items that’ll give me some edge too. I never really know where I’m going to end up during the day so I like to dress in a way that’ll look cute but that can be fancy or casual depending on what I need it to be.
CF: Would you say that your leather jacket is one of your go-to items?
CC: I honestly wear my leather jacket with so many things, but usually it’s jeans and a T-shirt. I like it because it adds a bit of edge to whatever I’m wearing and it goes with pretty much anything.
CF: What other items are you likely to gravitate towards on a daily basis?
CC: I’d have to say that my fashion must-haves are skinny jeans, blazers and high-waisted shorts. I’m also really into tops with a low or cutout back.
How To: Leather jackets will never go out of style. They are one of those timeless items that are a worthwhile investment. However, finding the perfect leather jacket can be tricky.
