Winter is all about finding the perfect coat which is stylish, easy to mix and match and keeps you warm. This week’s Fashionista’s look works perfectly with her knee-length coat, even while pairing multiple patterns.

AH: The boyfriend style is my favorite trend. I love boyfriend fit jeans.
CF: Do you have any celebrity style icons?
AH: Yes. They are Solange Knowles, June Ambrose and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
CF: How did you get into fashion design?
AH: My mom is a seamstress. She went to Philadelphia University. I used to watch her make clothes all the time.
How To: Finding the perfect timeless and classic, yet stylish coat can be difficult. Plaid is always a great go-to pattern because it remains timeless. Try this coat from Free People in a classic red and black plaid. Mixing patterns can work when each pattern is a different scale from the other. When pairing polka-dots with plaid, go for a large polka-dot pattern. This sweater is the perfect example. Finish this look off with a pair of jeans and ankle booties which are ‘in’ this season. For example, try this pair of metallic cut-out ankle boots.
