So, you bought your tickets and the days are counting down until you get to see your favorite bands on stage. Nobody cares about spring when music festival season is just around the corner. This is the time where you and your friends gather all the money that you guys have saved, spend five plus hours in a car and tent out, while dancing the night away. While you may be anxious to jump in the car and start your road trip right now, let’s figure out what you are going to wear! This Fashionista’s bohemian-esque outfit inspired me for what I might wear if I was going to a festival this summer.
Name: Angela Cartigiano
Major: Undecided/Magazine Journalism
CollegeFashionista: What are you wearing and where did you get it from?
Angela Cartigiano: I am wearing a white shirt from H&M. These jeans are from Zara and they are my favorite because they fit so great! I got the shoes from New Mexico from a place called Savers; it is like a thrift shop and they were five dollars.
CF: Do you shop at a lot of thrift stores?
AC: Not so much because I do not really know where to go around here, but I do know there are a few pretty cool places; I just haven’t checked them out, yet.
CF: You have mentioned that you are originally from Boca Raton, Florida. Do you see a difference from Boca’s fashion to Orlando’s fashion?
AC: Yeah. I feel like the people in Boca try to be very ritzy. They all kind of where the same thing and look like robots. I used to wear crazy things. Now, I am a little more settled down.
CF: What made you change your style?
AC: My hair cut! I use to have long bohemian hair and I used to dress so bohemian. I chopped my hair off about ear length and it totally changed me. I kind of lost my identity.
CF: Do you feel that your hair is almost an accessory to your fashion?
AC: Yeah, definitely. I feel it is a great way to express yourself, too.
How To: This fringe tank has the right amount of movement for when you want to dance along to your favorite band. Just lay it over a colorful bandeau and some jean shorts. Wrap this printed wideband around your head. This is perfect to keep your hair from frizzing, while keeping it in place. Finally, add a little color to your hair with this hair chalk from Free People. You know, just in case if you don’t have enough color already.
