If you are looking for a way to look fun and fashionable in the cold weather, capes are the way to go. Most of the time, Savannah weather is too humid for a coat. However, this Fashionista shows us how to stay warm during the chilliest days of the year.
Name: Analisa Lopez
Major: Fashion Design
CollegeFashionista: What is your favorite store?
Analisa Lopez: I don’t have one favorite store in particular. My personal style is very mixed as is my closet. I mostly own clothes from Free People and Ann Taylor, which have two completely different styles!
CF: Describe your perfect fall outfit!
AL: My perfect fall outfit would have to be my Ann Taylor sport pants with leather panels, an oversized sweater from Free People, thigh high black leather boots from Ann Taylor, and I would accessorize with a long chain necklace and a few rings. Oh, and if it’s too cold in Savannah for me I’ll wear a huge cape or wrap over my outfit!
CF: Does living in the South influence your style? If yes, how so?
AL: Living in the South has not influenced my style. Whether I’m in Jersey or Georgia, my style remains the same. The only thing that influences my style is my mood and what I am doing on that particular day.
CF: Do you have any advice for Fashionistas on a budget?
AL: For Fashionistas on a budget, find your nearest sample sale! Living only minutes away from New York City there are so many sample sales that sell designer clothes at a very reasonable price. I usually go to the Privé sample sales in Chelsea Market. They sell brands such as Free People, Theory, Rachel Zoe and other top designers for less than half the cost of the original price. The clothes are also in season so that’s a plus!
