The South has always been known for unpredictable weather, specifically in what is supposed to be the colder, winter months. Most days the temperature changes so rapidly that it is hard to dress appropriately for the day. When you wake up in the morning it could be a chilly 45-degrees, by midday it warms up to the high 60-70s and drops back down when the sun goes down. Most college students are on campus for a good majority of the day so an important thing for us in the South is to dress in layers! This Fashionista had no problem prepping for the day with her layered look of a casual blouse, cardigan and scarf.

CollegeFashionista: How would you describe your personal style?
Allison Blake: I would describe my personal style as classy and modern. I love mixing and matching pieces that are timeless with up to date modern trends.
CF: What are some of your favorite things to wear as the weather gets colder?
AB: I love being able to wear boots, sweaters, scarfs and my Barbour jacket when the weather gets colder!
CF: What item in your closet is your favorite go-to when picking out an outfit?
AB: My favorite go-to item to wear when picking an outfit out would have to be skinny jeans or leggings. You’ll hardly ever see me in any other type of pants. It is so easy to pair different sweaters and blouses with them to change up your day to day look.
CF: What is your favorite season to dress for and why?
AB: My favorite season to dress for is fall because the weather is perfect. You are able to wear a scarf without being too hot and its not too cold where you need a jacket. I love being able to go outside and be comfortable in a cute sweater.
