Hey Fashionista/os! I spent another day scanning the streets of D.C. and came across this Fashionista. Her Alexander Wang glasses caught my eye, but as I decoded the rest of her outfit, I fell in love. You guys already know my obsession with neutral outfits, especially blacks, and this Fashionista created a comfortable and casual outfit that is still fashionable.
Name: Alexandra Niakani
CollegeFashionista: Describe your go-to outfit.
Alexandra Niakani: My typical go-to outfit is a pair of slouchy harem pants, with either Timberlands, Supergas or Nike sneaker wedges, with a crop top, my varsity jacket, cool shades and a bag. I also love to layer and wear weird patterns that people typically don’t wear. I am always trying new trends and styles out, so my go-to outfits are always changing.
CF: At the moment, what is your favorite item in your closet?
AN: I just got this really cool green and navy plaid skirt that I’ve become obsessed with! It’s perfect for spring/summer and I can wear it with sneakers or heels. I like being able to take a look from day to night and this skirt is perfect for that.
CF: How would you describe your style?
AN: My style has a little bit of boho-chic, edginess, funkiness and classiness mixed together.
CF: Where is your favorite place to shop?
AN: I love The Reformation, Opening Ceremony and Barney’s. They always have interesting pieces that I haven’t seen anywhere else and I like to be unique when it comes to my outfits. They always have something that catches my eye.
How To: Starting from the top, this Fashionista is rocking some stunner shades by Alexander Wang and a limited-edition graphic T-shirt from Marc by Marc Jacobs, layered under a varsity jacket from American Apparel. Ms. Niakani flaunts the very popular disco leggings from American Apparel with the equally popular sneakers from Superga. She topped everything off with the perfect tote bag for class, designed by Alexander Wang. This Fashionista effortlessly merged the idea of classy and comfortable with a little bit of edge. You can do it too! Pick your favorite neutral color and mix-and-match! Have fun and strut your stuff.
