Now that the home stretch for the end of the school year has fallen upon us, it can be difficult to find your groove again. Days are spent hurriedly finishing assignments and daydreaming about all of those spring break trips or the summer ahead. While this time may seem to drag on, try to view it as a turning point, and give your wardrobe an update or try a new style. I loved seeing this Fashionista’s twist on an overworked winter outfit: a sweater and jeans. This outfit is ideal for the transition of the seasons when the day begins bitter cold then warms as the hours pass. Crop tops are only beginning to rotate back into Fashionistas’ wardrobes so this outfit is very on point for spring trends.

CollegeFashionista: What are a few words that describe your style?
Abby Getty: I like to think that my style is unique and sophisticated with a playful aspect.
CF: To whom or where do you look to for the latest fashion trends?
AG: I follow many celebrity accounts on social media, and that gives me a first hand look at the trends that are beginning to surface.
CF: What is your favorite fashion trend right now?
AG: My outfit says it all! I love anything high-waisted and cropped.
CF: What do you need in your outfit to make it feel complete?
AG: I love unique and bold pieces of clothing, but I think an outfit needs really bold shoes.
How To: High-waisted pieces have been all the rage the past few seasons. They add a new dimension to a classic piece. Paired with a cropped sweater, these pieces allow you to be comfortable all day with the changing of the seasons. In recent years, I have seen Timberlands coming back into style for women and made trendier. This outfit is a statement alone, but adding a chain necklace really finishes off the outfit making it very feminine. Girls can never have too much pink and gold!
