FASHION FROM ABROAD: Rainy Day Fedoras

Fashion From Abroad

I was fortunate enough to travel around Paris this weekend with my parents, which was an experience I will certainly never forget. However, Paris had a serious case of the blues as it was on and off raining the entire time. Of course, this didn’t stop us from walking into endless brasseries for espressos and croissants, or from seeing the wonderful sights the city has to offer.

I have always been very anti-umbrellas. I hate the way they look, the way they blow in the wind and especially the way you have to continuously watch out for the people around you. Being the diva that I am, I opted to wear a hat all weekend and toss the umbrella to the side. You can imagine my excitement when I saw a Fashionista doing the exact same.

Fedora’s are a trend I will never get sick of. They can look classy, edgy and trendy all at once and can be paired with a million different outfits. I love that today’s Fashionista chose a patterned fedora. It makes her hat unique, allowing it to stand out from your typical straw or black style. If you aren’t ready to invest in the trend, try an option from Urban Outfitters or H&M for equal the style and half the price!

What I also adore about her outfit is the oversized sweater. You really can’t go wrong with a comfortable knit on a rainy day. What is even better about this particular style is that it would look great with shorts for a day on the beach, or even with leggings and Converse shoes for a day at the library. Free People offers some seriously perfect options.

Wardrobe options for a rainy day in a city can be very limited, and I love to see fellow Fashionistas stepping out of the box and away from raincoats and umbrellas. While comfort is key for every outfit, in a city of such pristine fashion, so is appearance!
