These past couple of weeks, I think I can claim the name of “Technology Repeller.” Although it is completely a first world problem and I feel obnoxious complaining about it, it truly makes you appreciate what you have and be more aware of your surroundings. For instance, I can find places in Barcelona without being attached to Google Maps and you can, too!
When walking around the city, especially with the lack of a phone and iPod, has made me appreciate what this beautiful city has to offer (street music and people watching included). When walking around for some much needed retail therapy, I ran into this Fashionista and quickly became obsessed with her pants. The snake skin trend is something that I am not sure that I can personally pull off in a chic manner, but this trendsetter gives me hope!
The reason I love her ensemble is how the pants are intertwined with the blazer and boots. The snake skin is more of a pleasant surprise than anything else, which is more attainable in any of our day to day outfits. Many different fashion designers from Chloé to Roberto Cavalli have been praising the snake skin trend. I believe that snake skin in moderation will never go out of style and you can use this trend in order to please your personal style. For instance, Jessica Alba has opted to wear tan peep toe Jimmy Choo snake skin pumps while Ashley Madekwe's play on the texture is with a sheer snake skin printed T-shirt over high-waist shorts.
