FASHION FROM ABROAD: Layers of Color

Fashion From Abroad

As the weather gets colder across the pond, many Fashionistas and Fashionistos alike are bringing out their cold weather layers. From scarves to sweaters, it can get easy to lose yourself under all those bundles of clothes.

This week’s Fashionista does it well though by keeping all of her accessories and details in the same color scheme. Her pale red scarf matches perfectly with her bright red belt. She pulls the look together with polished, basic pieces in black and white. This helps bring her look together and protects her clothes and accessories from clashing together. More importantly, this week’s Fashionista is able to add some style and personality to more formal situations like class time or an interview.

Her warm and comfortable scarf tones down her white button down not only with the color tone but with the texture of the fabric as well. Further, as an abroad student, it acts a conversation starter as it was something she had purchased in her travels to Istanbul. Her black jeans tucked in the knee-high black boots is the perfect touch—giving the look an overall seamless tone.

So keep warm, and add on those layers, but keep your personality in your clothes by layering on color as well.
