FASHION FROM ABROAD: Jazz up your Jumpsuit

Fashion From Abroad

One of my favorite trends this year has been the jumpsuit. From the catwalk to the sidewalk, this trend has been appearing in a variety of new and fresh ways. The jumpsuit comes in all styles, lengths and colors so everyone will be able to rock this trend. My favorite and personal recommendation is to go with a basic black jumpsuit because it’s so incredibly versatile. Think of it as the Little Black Jumpsuit that will become your new go-to for all occasions.

Look for a style with either tank or short sleeves, in a breathable fabric like cotton or jersey. It should skim the body and be comfortable. If it’s too tight you may run the risk of looking like J-Lo back in her denim jumpsuit days. Having romper shorts or pants is totally up to you. Victoria's Secret has a great option for the basic jumpsuit. This jumpsuit will make your legs look like they go on for miles while looking classy and sophisticated.

Just like the Little Black Dress, this jumpsuit is the perfect blank canvas. For a casual day look add a fun printed cardigan, scarf and ballet flats for an easy-going look. To take this trend into the night, ditch the cardigan and change into sky-high platforms heels. Accessories are key, so don’t be afraid to rock some shine and glitz with the jumpsuit by adding metallic accessories and bold jewelry. This Fashionista chose to pair her black jumpsuit with a pastel blazer, a colorful statement necklace, silver belt and chunky heels. The belt visually breaks up the jumpsuit in two and the colors give this outfit some pop and personality.

Dillard's also has a great jumpsuit option with a flattering V-neck line and short sleeve. If black isn’t your thing, try a fun color or pattern. Spring is just around the corner, and a romper packs just as much bang for the warmer months. With wedges and a fun tote, you’ll be the envy of all your friends. I love this little leopard number from ASOS.
