Fashion From Abroad

At the first signs of summer heat we tend to immediately start wearing less and less clothing. It’s that time of year again when school is out and everyone busts out their ripped jean shorts and crop tops, and this Fashionista is no exception. When I spotted this Fashionista, we were at the top of the Catherdral in Palermo, Sicily. This beautiful beach town was full of tourists dotting their summertime clothing, and I couldn’t help but notice this Fashionista’s Versace red shorts.

After studying in Italy and learning about the endless amount of influential Italian designers, I now notice each trait that each designer is known for. When I think red, I think Versace’s endless amount of gorgeous one-of-a-kind red evening gowns. Sometimes red can feel like a holiday color, but this Fashionista paired it perfectly with an adorable tube top and beaded tribal sandals. The tight fitting top layers well with the loose fitting preppy shorts.

This summer it is essential to find your favorite pair of shorts or skirt to throw on. These same shorts could be worn with a patterned tank or even a long sleeve cropped top. You could even try them in the fall with the same shirt, just add a pair of tights and a blazer. My favorite part about an outfit is brainstorming about the different creative ways you could wear it. Check out these preppy summer shorts at Forever 21.

Lately I have been seeing a lot of fringe. Her fringe bag is one of my favorite new accessories. Even though hers is from the Florence leather market, Steve Madden has one that will get plenty of compliments. Get your fringe fix on this summer with your bathing suit, bag or even a cool kimono. Nordstrom has a ton of fringe items you can check out.
