FASHION FROM ABROAD: Prague Style

I think we can all agree that the packing part of a trip is the most stressful part of all, especially for a trip abroad. You want to fit in with the culture, yet still show off your personal style….And it’s not until you get to your destination that you find out what you should be wearing and how well you did with packing.

This summer, I’ve gone from Pennsylvania to Prague. When I arrived in Prague, I was surprised at how casual everyone was dressed: A pair of jeans with a simple top, light jacket and flats seems to be the uniform around here. There is, however, a lot of variation with this look, depending on the person. What’s interesting to me see how everyone interprets this basic look.

I was excited to find this Fashionista here making the “Prague look” her own her with an off-the-shoulder wine-colored top. With the solid colors, minimal cuts and accessorizing with a small necklace, her look fits in well with the simplistic style over here. She also kept it simple-but-cool with the addition of some trendy wayfarer-style sunglasses and a gold-accented, thin leather belt. Finishing off her look, she had on a pair of strappy sandals suitably sturdy enough for Prague’s cobblestones.

When out traveling, still find a way to take your personal style along for the ride. Don’t let the stress of packing to fit in with a culture take away from your personal style.
