Trying to get some relief from the blistering summer heat? The beach is great and all but sometimes it feels like you’re in the desert and you have to worry about seaweed, fish, and maybe the occasional jellyfish. To top it all off, you get sand in places sand should never be. Another downside to the beaches in Spain are the multitude of solicitors trying to sell you beer, jewelry, tattoos, hair braiding, etc. I prefer a private outdoor pool where you can sit and relax; you don’t have anyone bothering you and you don’t have to worry about sand or strange creatures in the water. My ideal summer day is having all of my friends over for a pool party, sitting outside, soaking up the sun, barbecuing and enjoying each other’s company.
This Fashionista was on her way to a pool party when I spotted her walking down the street and I have to say, she knew how to dress for a poolside event. A lot of times I think shorts and T-shirt are the way to go since I’ll be in my swimsuit most of the time; however this Fashionista’s outfit is just as easy and looks three times as good as shorts and a T-shirt. Her white maxi dress is perfect for a pool party because it is light and summery. It is also simple enough for daytime but has beautiful lace detailing in the middle to add subtle interest. This Fashionista perfectly accessorized the dress with a beautiful statement necklace, stacked rings, bangles and a cool pair of aviators.
So if you’re looking for a way to escape the summer heat, organize a pool party and remember you don’t have to go the boring route with shorts and a T-shirt. Dress it up a bit and find the perfect poolside outfit like this Fashionista did.
Captured: I captured this Fashionista in the Montolivet District of Valencia, Spain.
