This weekend, I traveled to one of my now favorite cities in the world—Paris. Paris is ranked high as one of the top fashion capitals in the world and has a major influence on worldwide fashion trends. From walking down the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, (a street full of beautiful shops), to walking around the Eiffel Tower, you can only imagine what I was seeing. The most strikingly dressed people I have ever seen flooded the streets of this amazing city. I thought Florence was incredible, but Paris is on a whole new level.
Spotted near a main attraction in Paris, the Louvre, I saw this diva in her fur and wool floppy hat. Apart from the typical beret that you would expect to see in Paris, many of the women wore wool floppy hats. Although I was a bit upset that I didn’t see many berets being worn, the floppy hats are definitely a lot more fashionable and can acceptably be worn all over the world.
There is so much about this outfit that I really love but the reason this Fashionista struck me was because of her outfit’s color scheme. Color pairing really grabs my attention. Gray, black and white look unbelievably good together if you do it right; you can really capture a sense of elegance. When you are wearing a statement piece, such as this girl’s jacket, you want to make sure you don’t overdo it. She perfectly captured the main part of the outfit by wearing a gray hat and high-knee black boots. They both really helped the jacket stand out.
Accessorizing is fun, but statement pieces can sometimes be even better. When you want to switch up your typical casual outfits, throw something on that will make people say “wow.” My favorite place to get fun and funky pieces that no one else would have are random boutiques in surrounding towns. All you have to do is be patient and look. Au revoir for now!
