During my summer travels, I have come to the conclusion that I really, really like Copenhagen. The vibe, the bikes, the people and the architecture. Especially, the architecture. And it got me thinking that there has to be some Northerner secret how they all manage to be so good-looking, intelligent and each with a unique sense of style. As minimalistic as they are in their interior and furniture designs, they are also in fashion, but what a maximal impact it is! And frankly, it just leaves me wishing I could be like them.
While exploring the quiet streets of Copenhagen, I noticed this Fashionista coming out of a flat building. And I just simply couldn’t leave such a gem of a look. There is nothing really exceptional in her style but somehow I couldn’t and still can’t take my eyes off of that skirt. And boots. And the whole ensemble.
Aztec print has been on trend for some time now and I just can’t get enough of it. This Fashionista is wearing a mini skirt, and for a night out you could upgrade it to a dazzling sequin mini, but don’t be afraid to try a midi length skirt, which is more popular this season.
A while ago, in my bio I mentioned that I am all about basics and this Fashionista proves my point. Imagine having the exact same blouse in, for example, three or four colors. With how many other items in your closet would you be able to wear it? All of them, is the answer. Don’t be afraid to spend a lot of money on silk and cotton blouses because I promise you will wear them a lot and they will last.
Summing it all up, I think the key elements to the Northern charm is not over-doing your look, keeping it simple and most importantly, having the right attitude because you are not what you wear, you wear what you are.
