FASHION FROM ABROAD: Little Miss Sunflower

Fashion From Abroad

Yellow is a color that I’ve always associated with the spring season. The color is bright, fun and feminine. This Fashionista was wearing yellow in the best way, the bold floral pattern of sunflowers. I’l let you in on a little secret of mine, I’m obsessed with the sunflower print! They look cute in a sundress as pictured above, palazzo pants, loose-woven shorts, or even one sunflower on a graphic T-shirt. Sunflowers are the prime flower for spring. In this spring 2014 fashion season, florals are all the rage. Florals are a bright, bold fashion choice. They represent a Fashionista who is comfortable and confident in her style.

I was stopped short on my way to class by this Fashionista’s dress. For me, this dress was love at first sight. With such a simple baby-doll silhouette, this dress has multiple purposes. It can be casually thrown on for an early morning of class, or used as a cover-up for a day at the beach. It also can be dressed up with a blazer, appropriate for a summer internship or with a pair of white or black Converse sneakers for a long walk in the park. The floral feminine pattern makes the dress girly but extremely versatile. The white basic backdrop color of the dress, makes the yellow flowers pop. Plus with her retro gold half-cat eye sunglasses, this Fashionista looks out of this world! Her overall outfit is funky but full of confidence. To tone down the bright colors, this Fashionista slings a small backpack on her shoulder. The bag is the perfect addition, the tan leather is a classic color and is a staple accessory.

Florals are flirty, girly and add pattern to any outfit. Whether they’re worn as the full outfit or paired with other pieces, they’re the perfect way to bring in the spring season.
