FASHION FROM ABROAD: It’s The Little Things

Fashion From Abroad

Back at home, Starbucks runs are a must. Here in Rome, however, cappuccino runs are the norm. I can’t help myself but to stop in one of the adorable corner cafes to get a quick cappuccino every morning before class. It is definitely one of the little things I love about Rome.

This Fashionista had the same mindset as me. I found her on her way to get a cappuccino with her friend before class. As she walked across the bridge to the other side of the Tiber I couldn’t get over her amazing boho-chic style. The patterned dress really pulled together the whole outfit. I loved its laid back feel and how she paired it with black tights and a brown belt to add a little something extra to it.

At home, I never see girls going to class wearing wedges. Many of the Italian girls wear wedges and booties here to school. I give this Fashionista major points for putting on a great pair of booties for class. It adds a feminine flare to the outfit and makes her look very classy. It isn’t hard to find a great pair of bootie wedges here in Rome, that’s for sure!

The Fashionista added a lot of funky jewelry to her classic outfit to make it pop more. Her neon purple bag was a perfect accessory along with her green tinted sunglasses. Her long necklace and chunky white watch also pulled together and finished the look. Her fun, laid back vibe and outfit really got me thinking: you can have a classic look, but it’s the little things that really complete an outfit.
