FASHION FROM ABROAD: Hats Off

Fashion From Abroad

Hats off to all who have conquered finals, classes and the fall semester as a whole! It is definitely a time to be out and about celebrating. Either doing some last minute shopping, catching up with friends or just going somewhere other than the library, treat yourself to a new scene.  Or maybe a new accessory. This Fashionista’s hat would certainly do the trick. Her finely felted riding cap is perfect for any outing or occasion.

One of my go-to textures of the season is quilting. Not only is it a chic, simple pattern on outerwear, but the stuffing also adds weight and warmth to an ensemble. Topping off an outfit with a quilted vest is an easy way to transform a simple long sleeve and denim jean combo into a put together look. Play up a bold statement necklace and jewelry and you are ready to go. This Fashionista’s vest, when matched with her brown cognac riding boots, gives the outfit a classic English equestrian feel. Continuing the look I would suggest these flat leather ankle booties with elastic side panels as a substitute for the tall boots while still in tune with the riding theme.

Just because its chilly outside doesn’t mean the sun doesn’t shine so count all sunglasses applicable for accessorizing! As well as an impressively large tote to carry around all of the necessities.  I like the light tan neutral color of this Fashionista’s handbag because of its versatility and ability to be used in the upcoming spring season. With all this in mind you will be styling throughout the season.
