I sure am not a history buff but when it comes to fashion, but I sure know history definitely repeats itself. When I make my way around this amazing city, I see the street filled with not only color graphic advertisements, but colorful graphic T-shirts as well. It reminds me of my middle school days of endless graphic T-shirts and capris. I am going to advise Fashionistas out there to avoid my middle school spin on the trend but don’t be afraid to get graphic!
This Fashionista utilizes the graphic T-shirt trend for a shopping day in the city. I love the casual, yet chic, look given to the trend. Her black jeggings keep it simple and comfortable. Her black ankle booties are perfect for day to night. Besides the great graphic T-shirt, her casual blazer is my favorite part. It’s perfect for a day around the city here. With a Zara bag in hand, she clearly knows how to take on Barcelona.
A hispter take on this trend to keep it comfortable is through a great, loose denim shirt or flannel. Sport the baggy shirt over a muscle style graphic T-shirt. Add leggings and your favorite fashion sneakers. Accessories for the look include large-framed glasses and a beanie.
For a nighttime look, try out a graphic T-shirt with a chic blazer like the Fashionista pictured. Experiment with a printed cuff on the blazer. Mixing prints can go so right. Grab your favorite skinny jeans and closed-toed wedges. Accessorize the look with red lipstick and colored stud earrings. This style always goes great with a big Michael Kors or Fossil watch. Classy and sophisticated to take on the town!
Whether you’re taking on a college town or a foreign country, getting graphic is not always a bad thing. Graphic T-shirts can add a pop of color, print or fun to a classic neutral look. Make the look comfy and laid back or chic and feminine. Don’t forget to take pictures because one day this vintage look will come back and you can prove your Fashionista trend skills!
