FASHION FROM ABROAD: Go Green

Fashion From Abroad

Traveling around the world is something every college student dreams of doing before starting a real life job. Now that I have the opportunity to do so, it is a lot harder than you think. I have been in a personal struggle lately trying to decide on what countries I absolutely have to visit before going completely broke. Interlaken, Switzerland was always number one on my list of must-sees. Weather here is always unpredictable, and it can be tough trying to stay cute when dressing for warmth. When I spotted this Fashionista in Interlaken, I could tell right away she was chasing her Swiss Alps dreams in style.

Interlaken got its name because it is a city in between two lakes. Visiting these lakes is one of the most beautiful scenic views you can experience, however I was definitely distracted by this Fashionista’s outfit, particularly that green beanie. Wearing all black from head to toe is common for every person abroad, but what always stands out is the uniqueness one shows paired with the everyday travel basics. I love how her knitted beanie and Longchamp bag were different shades of green. It worked perfectly with the patterned floral scarf that actually had very subtle shades of green in it. You definitely don’t have to match the same colors though. Beanies are always a really fun addition to a quieter outfit. Check out several fun patterns and colors from Free People and Forever 21. Another really cool trend you can try out is beanies that are embroidered with sayings like “Cool” and “Stay Weird.” Brandy Melville rocks the embroidered beanie world. You could even get super creative and knit a bright beanie yourself! Just remember that when traveling if it’s comfortable and cute, you can’t go wrong.
