I have finally arrived in Cadiz, Spain, and I must say that this ancient town is more picturesque than I could have ever imagined! I have only been here for a short time and I have already seen why so many American designers use European styles as their inspiration. Everywhere I look around this quaint beach town, located right on the Mediterranean Sea, I constantly see a sea of bright bold colors in seemingly every Fashionista/o’s ensembles. Then again, what else would I expect in a town where it is summer practically all year round? Whether it is a maxi dress, tailored skinny jeans, a peplum top, statement necklace or a scarf these Fashionistas/os seem to prefer to go bold.
I saw this Fashionista sitting in one of Cadiz’s many plazas and I instantly knew that she perfectly represented the style that I have seen in this town so far. She flawlessly rocked a pair of powder blue skinny jeans, which she paired with a teal statement necklace. She then added a crocheted white top that added an element of casualness, yet edge to her stylish ensemble. Her bright jeans added a sense of cheerfulness to her outfit, which represents the attitudes of everyone I have met so far in Cadiz.
Many people are often hesitant to try brightly colored jeans, in fear that they are too bold and stick out too much. A suggestion that I have is to pair the jeans with a basic top that has a muted or neutral color and also with basic jewelry. This will tone down the color of the pants so that may not seem as outlandish. Once you become more comfortable (and have received countless compliments) with your choice of jeans, try to pair the jeans with a bold floral top or statement jewelry. Don’t be afraid to go all out!
Need to spice up your wardrobe? Brightly colored jeans is the way to go! It is a relaxed and comfortable look but also adds pop to your ensemble. So do as they do in Cadiz and add some color to your life!
