A lot of us, who are interning somewhere this summer or have already landed a full-time office job, know how hard it is to dress appropriately but still with an umph. It was just after 5 p.m. in Copenhagen, when I saw streams of everyday people rushing through the streets after work. And then, this Fashionista grabbed my eye.
I love how she has wrapped her whole outfit around her beautiful, silk floral cigarette pants. If you want one of those, be sure to check out the incredible range of pants from ASOS. Being a very classic cut, the print is suitable for an office environment because of its subtle colors.
Her white, peplum top with an eye-catching gold belt around her waist highlights it, making her body look very feminine and sleek. Now this is a trick I like, because it suits almost any body type. And a good peplum top is an easy way to look chic in a matter of seconds (plus, check out the amazing detailing on her top in the third picture). A new trend I quite like are metal plate waist belts. I’d choose between this ring waist belt or this metal waist belt.
I really admire the versatility of this look, because you could easily swap her classic nude open-toe pumps for sassy flats and still look amazing. For an office environment, a better choice than an open-toe pair would be classic medium-heel pumps in a vibrant color like these Topshop Emeralde Court Shoes.
Originally from Russia, this Fashionista is very proud of her heritage and quite often chooses traditional motives in her clothes as well as a lot of gold in her accessories. I quite like the combination of bracelets she has. Take advice from this Fashionista and pair those up with a classic looking watch with a leather or chain strap. If going for a sophisticated, young adult look, forget all the friendship and DIY braided bracelets and go for serious gold chain bracelet and combine them with one stand-out bracelet.
The most important thing: be yourself, be confident and believe in yourself and your look will come together naturally.
