FASHION FROM ABROAD: Edgy in Black and Beige

Fashion From Abroad

While strolling around Kensington Gardens in London as the city was just waking up, I couldn’t help but stop and stare at this Fashionista’s artfully put together ensemble. Although it’s January, it’s still quite warm here in the United Kingdom, which leaves a lot of room to play around with personal style.

This Fashionista was spotted in a simple black leather jacket, oversized knitted sweater and distressed grey denim jeans. She accessorized her look with a printed scarf adorned with stars, cozy beige beanie and knee-high leather boots.

What drew me to her outfit the most was how she paired her accessories together with such ease. The pop of white from her patterned scarf contrasts the rest of her edgy black outfit giving it a subtle hint of softness. Adding in an unexpected accessory like a daring statement necklace or fun beanie are fun and easy ways to add a twist to your outfit this spring.

The beige color of her beanie attracts attention to the top half of her outfit. Not only is it necessary in the chilly weather, but the material of it is what makes it all its own. The ribbed material adds a depth of texture to her ensemble. I also can’t forget to mention her knee-high black leather boots, which top her look off. Every girl needs at least one pair of leather boots in her wardrobe and these are perfection. The side buckles add a nice hint of detail to the simple black riding boots. These are ideal for wearing when meeting with old friends for coffee or quickly pulling on when running off to class.

This Fashionista knows exactly how to pull off an effortless look that radiates laid-back edge.
