I have not yet left for Dublin, where I be spending my semester abroad, but I’m definitely thinking about the shopping items I’ll need to pack for the trip.
Just as I was in the middle of my daytime date at the mall, I noticed this Fashionisto. He sports an outfit composed of classic pieces: a checker button-down shirt, dark pants, oxford shoes and a belt. All of these items work together to create a clean and polished look. But what makes this ensemble even more interesting is how the Fashionisto coordinated his colors. He has color-blocked blues and browns with this outfit. The brown colors stand out through the belt which is the same color as his shoes. The different shades of blue in his shirt and pants are a contrast of lights and darks that complement each other. Overall, this Fashionisto looks stylish. But with further observance at his styling choices, his look becomes captivating. One may only come to the conclusion that color-blocking draws the eye to an outfit that is well put together.
Matching classic pieces allows for a look that cannot go wrong. It may just be that I’ll have to pack my suitcase with classics, or items that are considered staples. Classic items can complete, construct or sustain an outfit.
