FASHION FROM ABROAD: Chic in Black

Before coming to Europe, I was told that London was one of the best places to find amazing street style. And they were not kidding. I’ve been here for exactly a week, and although I leave tomorrow, I’ve been so inspired by how much style Londoners have. Whether they’re walking to and from work, on a run or walking to the club, they are always so chic.

I’ve had the chance to get to know this Fashionista while traveling abroad and fun fact: she was a Style Guru last semester! Although she is from Seattle, you would think she is from London with how much she blends in with the European-chic culture of fashion. Her style has inspired me to want to try certain pieces of clothing, such as a baby blue duster, and this hugging black dress she is wearing above. She has redefined the way I think about travel wear. We’ve been on the go 24/7 and her outfits, such as this one, can only simply described as chic. My go-to outfit for traveling most of the time has been a cotton T-shirt and comfy shorts, but her style has motivated me to want to look more chic for the rest of my trip. Her jacket is a staple piece that I love and it’s from Harvey Nichols, a British department store in London.

Captured: I spotted this Fashionista in front of our picturesque hotel in the neighborhood of South Kennsington, an upper class area next to Hyde Park in London, England, UK.
