FASHION FROM ABROAD: Boyfriends Are Keepers

Fashion From Abroad

Jeans are a staple in every person’s wardrobe. From flared to skinny, there are a variety of styles to chose from. Frankly, it can be overwhelming. We’ve all had our days of endless styles of jeans being scrutinized in the dressing room mirror, and let’s be real, sometimes it can be utterly defeating when you simply can’t find the right pair. Although I am a stickler for the classic skinny jean, I am in love with the newly found popularity of the boyfriend jean. The relaxed jean can be worn in so many different ways. Even better, they are super comfortable and look great on a variety of body types.

This Fashionista gives off a beachy vibe while on spring break in her distressed boyfriend jeans. The acid wash, rips and cuffed bottoms keep the look very casual. She pairs the jeans with a nautical blue and white striped sweater and a classic pair of aviator Ray-Bans for the perfect beach bum attire. Although these jeans are perfect for lounging, they can easily be taken from day to night. Ditch the sweater and slip on a pointed heel, a loose graphic T-shirt and a blazer or leather jacket for a nighttime outfit that will have heads turning.

Boyfriend jeans are quickly becoming a top trend that we simply just can’t afford to miss out on. Don’t have a boyfriend to steal jeans from? No problem, I promise. Plenty of stores, like H&M, are starting to carry boyfriend jeans that are made for women. In the past, you might have been scrutinized for throwing on a pair of your boyfriend’s jeans, but now you’ll be seen as the Fashionista you truly are. Just remember, if your boyfriend isn’t a keeper, his jeans still are.
