Holiday season is fast approaching, as New Jersey just experienced its first snowfall last week! It seems just only a few days ago Fashionista’s broke out their sweaters and hoodies for the breezy fall weather. Now it’s a whole new story as snow is taking over the roads and winter jackets taking over our closets. One of the many things I love about winter is the cold air and how it gives me red rosy cheeks. Blush and bronzer are essential in our makeup bags. Looking rosy from the winter season is a great look to sport this year around.
Walking around campus amongst the snow is a very scenic view. As everyone is wearing their rain boots and jackets, I spotted a Fashonista that seemed to have it all—warmth, layers, boots and those glistening rosy cheeks. I went up to her and asked what she was wearing today and how she did her makeup. She told me that because the snow was so sudden, she hasn’t had the chance to go home to pick up her parka, so instead she layered for warmth! She wore a denim shirt under her wool sweater for that sophisticated look. Then, she put on her thickest motor jacket to finish her outfit. She also said she always relies on her Hunter Boots whenever it is raining or snowing, allowing her to stay dry. I then asked about her makeup routine, and she replied by saying it is her every day look—a little bit of eyeliner, mascara and rosy cheeks to match the cold weather. She is currently wearing Bobby Brown eyeliner, Revlon mascara and MAC Peaches blush.
It’s important to never over do with blush. If you do, you’ll end up looking like a clown! The best way is to purchase a blush brush that evenly spreads the blush across those cheekbones. Remember, if you won’t be out in the cold, cheat by using a rosy pink blush!
