FASHION FROM ABROAD: Awaiting Spring

Fashion From Abroad

It feels as though everyone is waiting around for spring to come. The temperature in London is steadily increasing, but unfortunately the daily rain clouds have yet to disappear. In the midst of this transition, our fashion world is struggling between keeping warm and pining away for pastels and sundresses. This Fashionista, on her coffee break, encapsulated this style struggle and created the ideal ensemble. Her outfit subtly foreshadowed what lies ahead in the upcoming months, but still keeps in tune with the chilly climate. She has chosen a warm weather skirt mixed with dark winter tones. Flowing skirts combined with brass buckled heels and an easy-to-wear sweater is a flawless and flirtatious combination. I fell in love with these dramatic buckles on her chunky heels. They are versatile for both day and night and, according to this Fashionista, extremely comfortable! Lastly, she has on a dainty pearl necklace for a feminine touch.

While we wait for spring to come, we can still pull out some favorite warm weather items to hold us over. These darker floral skirts can easily be paired with rain boots for a girlish and relaxed look. Floral skirts complement dark tights and any type of boots no matter the occasion. Once the temperature rises into the fifties, there’s no need to hold back those subtle spring patterns. Yet, will London ever see sunny days? Will my outrageously colorful sundress finally make it out of my suitcase? Keep your fingers crossed!
