Finally — a Fashionisto! I have been on the hunt to spot a well-dressed male since I started writing for CollegeFashionista and have clearly been having some trouble. Finally, I spotted this Fashionisto in one of my classes. I have to say, I am a sucker for guys in khakis as well as jean shirts. The fact that this boy paired them together is even better. This outfit is simple but it shows that this boy has style.
Name: Austin Roos
Major: Computer Science
Year: Junior
CollegeFashionista: What influences your personal style?
Austin Roos: To be honest, everyone and everything around me. I really try to avoid having a predictable style, so I take things that I like from everyone I see and do my own version of it. I am most influenced by people whose styles are bold or daring, because I like their courage to wear what they like even though they may be judged.
CF: Where do you like to shop?
AR: Nordstrom Rack and H&M. I prefer Nordstrom Rack for dressier clothes and jeans, but prefer H&M for my day-to-day clothes. I should also mention Studiiyo23, which is where I get some of my clothes and all of my shoes.
CF: What is your favorite season to dress for?
AR: Definitely fall. I love to layer clothes and strongly prefer jeans/pants to shorts. Fall is also one of two seasons when I can comfortably wear my favorite shoes on a daily basis (because I don't like to get my shoes dirty).
CF: If you could raid anyone's closet — a friend, family member or celebrity — would who it be?
AR: Kanye West. In my opinion, he is fashion.
How To: To get this Fashionisto’s outfit one of the first places I would go to is H&M. Like Austin said, H&M has great day-to-day clothing and it’s at an affordable price. They have tons of awesome shirts, especially jean shirts. As always, Urban Outfitters has some great pieces to offer as well. Check out their khaki pants.
