Beautiful weather here brings us this week’s Fashionisto. While he may appear to simply be wearing an outfit most would deem normal, look closer and realise that each garment is chosen quite carefully to complete a look that is cool and collected.
First, his iconic T-shirt. I know I talked about this in recent weeks, but I believe it is important to stress again. When this weather hits, boys and girls, one needs a selection of T-shirts with amusing, thought provoking and attention-seeking images on the front to show off to strangers and your friends. Don’t be shy! This Fashionisto here for example is sporting his own little man on the front of his. Here is a hilarious Vote for Pedro number (only hilarious I suppose if you’ve ever seen Napoleon Dynamite). Never the less they go with anything, and are handy to throw over jeans when one can’t be bothered to look overtly stylish.
Now, to his shorts, which are actually a lot more crisp looking than they immediately suggest. I enjoyed these particular numbers because they look simultaneously smart and casual at the same time. Quite a hard thing to pull off. The colour is unusual and quite reminiscent of summer. The length and cut is clean and tailored. Well done, Fashionisto! And, I found pretty much exactly the same pair on Topman.
Finally, we move onto his shoes – the cornerpiece of the outfit. They are bright, optimistic, youthful and, above all else, comfortable. Trainers such as these make a statement from the most dull of outfits, so think about investing in your own so that you have something fun to fall back on. I would recommend getting ones such as these, that are mostly white and black with a few splashes of colour so you don’t have to worry about clashing. Here is an example at Schuh for a perfect pop of colour.
The entire look seems at first glance to be careless and thrown together. It is only when one takes in each piece when it becomes obvious this guy is a Fashionisto on the sly. Well, we’ve caught you out!
