Whether you are going to a local coffee shop to see an acoustic show or to an arena to see one of the biggest bands of the year, dressing for a concert is one of the best ways to stand out in a crowd. While my first show was seeing David Cassidy (Mom’s choice), I still remember wanting to look my absolute best. Even as a kid, I felt like I was ready for anything. This was my first live concert! Would he see me? Would he ask me to come on stage? What would I say if I ever met David?
Regardless of what your first concert was, you probably thought long and hard about what exactly you were going to rock out in. Now, every outfit you plan for a concert seems like a breeze. Rain or shine, you should now be a professional at preparing for the unexpected when it comes to shows.
Even during a rainy, cold day, I was still able to come across this bubbly Fashionista. From her vintage ear cuff to her high-waisted black maxi skirt, she really has a way of mixing and matching basics with a pop of color. What really caught my eye was this Fashionista’s leopard print booties. A smaller heel is perfect for any concert because the last thing you want is to walk like a zombie back to your car because your feet could not handle a pair of platforms. I loved her take on the white leather jacket. Attending a show on a cold night? A jacket like this is able to keep you warm, yet chic.
Dressing up is a great way to feel confident while shaking your groove thang! Attending a concert has quite the influence on the kind of outfit you will wear for the rest of the night. There are dozens of ways to dress for a concert, but this week’s Fashionista is definitely a prime example of what to wear to any show. With her simple, yet funky look, who knows who she is going out to see? I personally fell in love with this timeless and ready-to-wear look. This Fashionista definitely inspired me for my next concert.
One Simple Change: Headed to an interview? Change the maxi skirt out for a pair of slim black slacks and you are ready to get that dream job.
