This Fashionista goes totally neutral. An array of colors definitely mixes it up, however this Fashionista shows that keeping it neutral makes things delightfully dressy and fun! I am a big fan of the elephant print, long sleeve dress and the matching strappy heels. Though she stays within the neutral boundaries, she mixes it up by using different shades. Her oversized leather purse coincides well with her darker brown dress. She dresses the outfit up a bit by not only adding the heels, but also by accessorizing with the gold collar necklace. She finishes off her classy look with a pair of chic oversized sunglasses, perfect for this beautifully sunny day in downtown Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Jennifer got her elephant print dress from Forever 21 and her beautiful strapped heels are from J.C. Penney’s new spring collection Call It Spring. Fantastically enough, she got them on sale for only $20! This goes to show that once again, as this season's Fashionistas and Fashionistos have so wonderfully exemplified, great fashion does indeed come at great prices. Her oversized leather purse came from TJ Maxx and as for her accessories, her gold collar necklace and oversized sunglasses are from Charming Charlie. This Fashionista was able to purchase both of these sensational items for under $20 as well. She not only looks stylish, but I bet she feels great about how much money she spent on her fabulous outfit.
To all my fellow Fashionistas and Fashionistos, do not be afraid to go neutral. Sure, mixing it up is fun and looks fabulous as well, and we are seeing plenty of vibrant colors, neons and prints all over the runways today, but neutral is a nice change of pace. Neutral shades make for simple and classy outfits, while also setting you a part from others. Sharing individuality is vital, and since 2012’s summer trend seems to be showcasing an array of vibrant colors and '80s neons, it might be refreshing to step outside of these boundaries and go neutral. As I have been photographing various Fashionistas and Fashionistos I have found that not many individuals take this risk. I am striving to preach that going full-on neutral is perfectly fine and will never cease to bring you plenty of satisfaction and reward you immensely. Let’s start a new summer trend. Happy shopping!
