ACCESSORIES REPORT: Tote-ally Ready For Spring

Accessories Report

The consensus on Misericordia’s campus is that winter is out and spring is in. After dodging icy sidewalks for months and waking up to too many winter wonderlands, we are over the winter weather. While, for the most part, the temperatures are still below freezing, Fashionista’s are prepping their closets for the upcoming season. I’ve noticed more floral prints and pastel color combinations popping up underneath parkas and flannels, hoping that these wardrobe changes bring weather changes as well.

I spotted this Fashionista bundled up to battle the bitter Pennsylvania wind. What caught my eye most was her floral Fossil tote. While her long parka, tall boots and plaid scarf screamed winter wear, her tote was a bright symbol for spring. The number one thing I think of when it comes to springtime are the hundreds of blossoming flowers around campus. Why not bring those flowers early in wardrobe pieces?

For Fashionista’s dying to break out their springtime pieces, start with one item that reminds you of the sunny season, like flowers do for me! The Fossil Key-Per Shopper is similar in style with this Fashionista’s and would be the perfect accessory for a day of classes or a shopping spree. A more casual bag can be found at Free People. The Palm Tree Tote comes in black or blue with a mix of cotton and suede textures. The studded bottom mixes an edgy feel with the floral printed top. For Fashionista’s looking for a weekend tote with a floral vibe, check out the Marmara Floral Weekender from Anthropologie. The large tote would be the perfect option for a weekend at home or out at a friend’s.

I know I’m not the only Fashionista out there tote-ally ready for spring! Hurry out to find your springtime accessory today.

Spotted: The spring 2013 collection by 3.1 Phillip Lim has numerous options for springy accessories. Check out this black floral tote for inspiration before hunting down your own.
