We can all think of a rainy or snowy day where it was difficult to pull an outfit together, let alone accessorize the ensemble. It’s sometimes difficult to crawl out from under the covers when the snow is covering the ground. With the slippery slopes to hurry down and the treacherous stairs to climb just to make it to class, who has time to think of fashion? I spotted this wintery Fashionista on one of many icy days on campus who accessorized for the winter weather with floral pieces.
She stuck with an all black look – comfy leggings, a warm fleece and tall riding boots – staying cozy for the chilly weather. Her accessories were what turned heads. Her purple scarf was weather appropriate while adding some color. Her crocheted headband kept the wind and snow from ruining her curly pony and her coral flower drop earrings added just the right amount of pop for a February afternoon. Maybe the flower power will help wash winter away?
The peach earrings were my favorite part of the look. The color was subtle while the design was loud. If coral is the color you’ve been looking for, try the Marquise Leaf Cascade earrings from BaubleBar. The three tiered statement piece would work for any season. For a smaller drop, Banana Republic’s Coral Drop Earrings have enough color to pair with a patterned top or a simple dress. Or, if you’re looking for something for a more formal event J.Crew’s Feather Earrings would do the trick. The golden color and rhinestones would be my choice for a special night out.
The peachy statement piece is something for everyone’s jewelry box that will never be out of season. Grab a pair today to prepare for the spring. I know you have a sundress that you’re dying to break out. Start accessorizing now!
