Hi my name is Elle-Jay Galea. I’m 18 years old and I am a first year student at RMIT University in Melbourne. I am currently studying Business (Public Relations) an industry that is always evolving much like the fashion industry, which is what makes it so interesting. Fashion has always been a major part of my life, having being raised in the city and observing the constantly changing trends is what captured my attention to be so intrigued with the fashion world so that is why I am excited to be given the opportunity to take part in this internship.
As any girl would say, I love shopping however I equally love making my own clothes. I feel that I am able to express myself and personality even more that way. I have Certificates I and II in Applied Fashion Design and Technology, in which I learned so much practical and theoretical stuff about fashion and developed my skills to create and design my own garments. Just like a little girl I love dressing up, one day you may find me rocking out an edgy city chic outfit and the next a sophisticated preppy Blair Waldorf look.
Living in Melbourne, a city known for the unpredictable weather I have learnt to always be prepared. That being said I am the type of person who would dress for style before comfort. I am all about new and upcoming trends as well as all things vintage and old-fashion. I usually get my inspirations from old trends and styles and mixing it with a modern twist.
