The title “Head Style Guru” sounded a bit silly at first. But after more than two years working for CollegeFashionista, it is a term I have grown to love. As I enter my last year of college, I am excited to spend yet another semester showcasing street style at The Ohio State University.
For those of you who don’t know me, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Elizabeth Sensky. I am a lover of fashion (clearly), food, music, yoga, natural wellness, DIY projects and coffee shop sitting—to name a few. As you can see, my interests are varied and they are constantly evolving. Above all, I love meeting new people. That is why this job is perfect for me. Not only do I get to exercise my writing muscle once a week, but I also have an excuse to find and chat to new and fashionable all the time. It may sound corny, but I love how fashion has the ability to bring people together. I believe it is wearable art. It is how we express ourselves. It is a representation of where we are in our lives. It is a study of society. I believe it is all of these things and so much more but what I like best is that fashion empowers you. That is what I aim to convey in my weekly posts. Along with an image of an inspirational Fashionista or Fashionisto, you will hear my advice for how to use that inspiration to uplift yourself through your wardrobe.
