It is a new year and a new semester for CollegeFashionista. Now is the time for making goals, reflecting on the past year and renewing relationships. As the Head Style Guru for The Ohio State University, I am excited to renew my relationship with CollegeFashionista and begin my fourth semester reporting on the best of Columbus fashion.
My name is Elizabeth Sensky, and I am a junior studying Fashion Merchandising with a business minor. Fashion has always been a large part of my life and something that constantly inspires me, but it is not the traditional concept of fashion that intrigues me. In the words of Coco Chanel, “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” This is what interests me about personal style; it is a direct reflection of your personality. It is the most intimate and telling form of self-expression.
Every day I strive to present myself through my clothes. Not only does an inspired outfit brighten my outlook, but it also increases my confidence. My job at CollegeFashionista allows me to observe my passion for fashion through the eyes of others. Spotting stylish individuals with a keen sense of who they are is the best job I could ask for. With that said, I hope you join me every Monday for a fresh fashion perspective and a dose of STYLE ADVICE!
