Style Guru Bio: Elizabeth Sensky

Style Guru Bio

Hello CollegeFashionista readers!

My name is Elizabeth Sensky, and I am excited to begin my third semester writing for CollegeFashionista!

If you are reading this, then you probably already share my fascination with fashion. I often spend an inordinate amount of time surfing fashion blogs, ripping out magazine pages, and composing outfits. This may sound a bit obsessive but fashion, as a form of self expression, always captivates my attention. As OSU's Style Guru, my favorite hobby of people watching comes in handy. Each week, I will be scoping out a unique individual with striking style.

I am in my junior year at The Ohio State University studying fashion merchandising. Since the age of 16, I have been working and interning in the retail world. Eventually, I hope to work as a trend forecaster or possibly in the editorial side of the industry. I have no definite plan though, only the goal of working for a company who keeps in mind sustainability and creating ethical opportunities in this sometimes volatile industry. With this in mind, I choose Fashionista/os not because they are trendy but because they are creative.

What is my style like? I often find this question challenging because as I evolve, my style does too. What you can find me wearing on any given day is largely determined by my mood. My wardrobe is comprised mostly of thrift store, travel, and online shopping purchases. I enjoy creating opposition in an ensemble, whether it be feminine and edgy or bohemain and classic. I guess the word is eclectic.

I can attribute this eclecticness to the photos I take. With each photo comes a new fashion perspective. I will share these influences with you every monday in my Style Advice of the Week feature! I hope you are inspired with me.
